On Saturday, May 26, 2019, SCOPE CIMSA UPH held a training for the 2018/2019 professional exchange outgoing students from Universitas Pelita Harapan Medical School called Pre Departure Training 2. This training consists of lectures about IV Line, Basic Minor Surgery, Bioethics and Hygiene that were brought to the outgoing students by our very own dr. Natalia Maria Christina, SpB, dr. Theo Audi Yanto, Sp.PD, and dr. Wendy Wihardja. Not only were the students given lectures, they were also given them time to practice their knowledge with the help of some doctors acting as their supervisor. The main objective of this event was to give the outgoing students a few hard skills that will be very helpful in their exchange country. This activity is a mandatory checklist for all outgoings from SCOPE National, hence all 24 outgoings must attend this training. However, even though this event is mandatory, all participants had a good time and have learnt so much from our experts. All in all, this activity was meant to empower medical students through exposing them to opportunities such as professional exchange, according to the CIMSA program: Health Systems.
